
Winner of several violin and chamber music competitions in Portugal and the USA, she studied with Alberto Gaio Lima and Zofia Woycicka. With the support of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and the Ministry of Culture, she continued her studies with Gerardo Ribeiro, at Northwestern University, where she completed her Master of Music and the Certificate in Violin Performance. During this period, she was also, at that university, an assistant to the aforementioned violinist and pedagogue.
She later joined the class of the prestigious Professor Robert Lipsett at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. He has a master’s degree in Educational Sciences from the Catholic University of Porto.
With intense artistic activity, Evandra was a soloist with the Sinfonieta Orchestra, Porto Classical Orchestra, Portuguese Symphony Orchestra, Beiras Philharmonic Orchestra, Porto National Orchestra and NU Symphonie Orchestra.
Founding member of the Doppio Ensemble with pianist Ana Queirós, they performed concerts in Portugal, Italy, the United Kingdom, Spain, as well as tours in Brazil and the USA.
She is regularly invited to join competition panels and lead masterclasses.
She is a member of the Porto Symphony Orchestra – Casa da Música, a teacher and violin coordinator at Arteam and a guest assistant professor at the Escola Superior de Música e Artes do Espetáculo, in Porto.
